When Faith Feels Fragile
Weekly Theme: Choosing to Overcome
Scripture:
Mark 9:24 (NLT)
"The father instantly cried out, 'I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!'"
Devotion
There are days when faith feels full—confident, expectant, bold. And then there are days when faith feels fragile. Like you're holding on, but just barely.
Jesus had just come down from the mountain of transfiguration and encountered a desperate father whose son had been tormented since childhood. The disciples had prayed but couldn’t cast out the spirit. The man believed… but the delay and disappointment had worn him thin.
“I do believe… but help my unbelief.”
That’s not weak faith—it’s honest faith. It’s what real overcoming looks like on a Tuesday when you’re still waiting for the miracle… still holding the line… still trying not to quit.
Today, we’re praying for those in that fragile place—the ones who believe, but are battling doubt… the ones who trust, but are exhausted… the ones who’ve cried the same prayer for years and are wondering if anything’s moving.
Prayer Focus
Pray for those who are discouraged by delay—that hope would rise again.
Ask God to strengthen those battling doubt, fear, or confusion.
Intercede for the faithful who feel like they’ve believed and believed and still haven’t seen breakthrough.
Invite the Holy Spirit to breathe fresh confidence into fragile hearts.
Declaration
Lord, I still believe—help my unbelief.
You are the God who sees, who hears, and who answers.
I choose to trust again.
I will not quit. I will not shrink back.
I will overcome—because You are faithful.
