Who Are You Working For?

Colossians 3:23 reads, “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”

This hit me powerfully this morning because how many times do we not give our best effort towards something?  How many times are we behind schedule, late to finish something, or complaining about a task/chore/project at hand?  Whether this is at work, in our personal lives, or in our marriage/romantic relationship (probably the biggest culprit lol).  We argue with others or in our heads about doing the laundry, about working our way up from the bottom financially, about who cleans the dishes, and so much more.

My question to you that I asked myself this morning is, “Would you complain and argue if you were doing these little tasks or big projects for God himself?  If he was right in front of you telling you to do the dishes, to do the laundry, to struggle financially for a season, to give your all at your job, to get little sleep and pray late into the night, to get up early and hit the gym, would you argue and complain to His face?”

I’d probably slip up plenty of times, but overall, I would shut my mouth and work hard for Him in any way He directed me.  The challenge is to take this same challenge into our daily lives.  Act as if everything you are doing you are doing for God and not for other people or yourself. Give it your all!!  Love you all🧡
