Walking in Double Blessing: The Call to Morning Prayer

At the beginning of this year, January 5th through the 26th, Harvest Revival Center set out on a 21-day journey of prayer and fasting (Read Here). It was more than just a corporate fast—it was a time of seeking God, drawing near to Him, and aligning our hearts with His will.

During those three weeks, we gathered every morning for a 6 AM prayer call as the Lord instilled discipline within our church body. As the days passed, a growing sense emerged—God was calling us deeper, drawing us further into something beyond just 21 days.

On the last day of the fast, Kathie Carr asked if we could continue the 6 AM prayer call. I told her I would pray about it. Deep down, I knew the Lord wanted us to go further, but I was struggling with my flesh and the thought of committing to a 6 AM prayer call every morning.

Over the following week, I wrestled with the Lord’s request. Finally, I announced to the church that we would continue with prayer—but only on Monday mornings. In my mind, this would appease God. But as I prepared for my sermon, I was reminded of a powerful truth:

Partial obedience is still disobedience.

The Lord’s Challenge: Full Surrender

I knew God was calling us to something more—something daily, something disciplined, something that would usher us into greater power and authority.

I argued. I resisted. But God wasn’t letting me off the hook.

After much complaining in the Spirit, I surrendered.

On Sunday, I announced that Harvest Revival Center would move into five days a week of morning prayer—Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 AM.

A New Beginning: Walking in Double Power & Authority

This morning, as we stepped into obedience, 23 people joined the call.

23 people hungry for God at the break of dawn!

And I know this is just the beginning.

The Lord is dealing graciously and favorably with us because of our obedience. As we come together early in the morning, we are walking into a season of double blessing, double power, and double authority.

  • Double Blessing – As we put God first, we will see an outpouring of His Spirit in our lives.

  • Double Power – As we gather in unity, our faith and intercession will grow stronger.

  • Double Authority – As we seek His face, we will walk in greater authority to proclaim His Kingdom.

The Invitation: Will You Join Us?

This is not just a church initiative. This is a movement of God.

God is calling us deeper into prayer—not just as a church, but as a people who hunger for His presence.

If you feel the Lord stirring your heart, we invite you to be a part of this daily pursuit. Join us Monday through Friday at 6 AM as we seek God, declare His promises, and move forward in obedience together.

The harvest is plentiful, and the workers are few.

Let’s be found faithful in prayer.

Are you ready to step into the double portion?
