Annual Cross Service: A Time of Surrender and Renewal

At Harvest Revival Center, we believe there is no resurrection without the cross. The cross represents the death of our sinful nature and the beginning of a life led by the Spirit (Galatians 5:24, Romans 8:13). That’s why our Annual Cross Service is such a sacred moment to start the year.

This powerful service is an opportunity to rededicate our lives to Christ by symbolically nailing our sins, habits, and struggles to the cross, as described in Colossians 2:14. Each piece of paper nailed represents a commitment to leave behind the passions and desires of the flesh and walk in the freedom Christ offers.

As we gather, we are reminded of the seriousness of sin and its ability to separate us from the presence of God (Genesis 3:8). Yet, in Christ, we find hope, forgiveness, and transformation. The cross is not only where sin is dealt with but also where healing begins. Whether it’s personal struggles, sickness, or relationships, this is a moment to surrender every area of our lives to the Lord and invite His power to bring renewal.

What to Expect:

  • A time of self-reflection guided by the Holy Spirit to identify areas needing surrender.

  • Communion, as a reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus and the new life we have in Him.

  • The beginning of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, a season of consecration and seeking God wholeheartedly.

This service is a meaningful act of repentance and resistance. As we come to the cross, we are reminded of Acts 3:19:

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”

Join us as we resist the enemy, refresh our spirits, and start the new year with our eyes fixed on Jesus. Whether you’re with us in person or joining online, this is a moment to surrender, refresh, and walk forward in faith.

See you at the cross!
Pastor Niel
